No one has ever described me as “gleeful”. I’m rarely beaming or joyous and I have never ended a tweet with #blessed.
I am, however, contented. I’m fortunate, untroubled and often even cheerful – this is what I mean by living a happy life.
As the saying goes, Shit Happens – I am certainly not immune to this. What I am trying to learn to do is to not let external events have a negative impact on my overall happiness. I don’t always manage, but I’m getting better at it and I’ll keep practicing.
