A couple of weeks ago I told you I was going to write about synchronicity but a few synchronisation’s happened and I ended up writing about something else. (You can read about it here if you missed it.)
This week I am going to write about synchronisation’s. Signs from the universe. Coincidences.
Doesn’t it sometimes seems like everything conspires for you (or against you!) to make sure you end up in the “right place”? People that turn out to be so important in your life, that you stumble across quite by accident and in unlikely circumstances. Some of the most memorable for me involve an escaped pony, an internet chat room for a service provider neither of us were on, and an advert in a e-mail newsletter that normally ends up in the junk box. How’s that for the universe bringing people together?
Also, I find it amusing when the same piece of knowledge comes to you from several different angles. A few weeks ago I was reading 2 books at the same time, something I don’t normally do, and the same information with the same analogy was in both. When the same information comes to me from various sources I find it hard to dismiss it. I even did a social media post about it at the time. Isn’t that quite a coincidence?
This week, we had an offer accepted on a house we want to buy for the price of my mums home phone number, the phone number that we’ve had for the last 30 or more years. A sign that it’s meant to be, surely?
I don’t really know whether these things are just coincidences, signs, things being attracted to our energy or a master plan. Maybe it’s as simple as we only notice the things that have a meaning, or with hindsight we prescribe a meaning to them. We are story telling creatures after all, we like an exciting and mystical narrative. It’s very possible that I have disregarded all the “signs” that didn’t end up being significant and just edited them out of the story.
It’s one of those things that we are never really going to know the answer to. That, for me, means that I can decide what I’d like to believe. Given that kind of “we’ll probably never know” situation I choose to believe whatever gives me most comfort or joy and don’t worry too much about whether it’s accurate or not, why bother when you’re unlikely to prove it either way?
So I quite like to believe that these synchronisations are a sign that I’m on the right path and heading in the right direction. I tend to find that I notice more and more things that support my theory of that when I’m on a roll with something. Life seems to flow more easily and with less resistance. It works for me, but you can decide for yourself.
